Port Ellen 40 Year Old - 9 Rogue Casks

Port Ellen 40 Year Old - 9 Rogue Casks is an exciting release made using 9 old casks from 1979 discovered in a dark corner of the distillery by the Master Distiller at Port Ellen. The nose is delicate with some herbal notes and mild smoke, as well as some red fruit, caramel and peach skins. The palate is smokier with some richer notes of tobacco and leather as well as a little wood spice. The finish is long and enjoyable, with a light smoky finish. Absolutely beautiful.
