Millésime 1968 tasting notes

Aged in oak barrels for over 40 years, this single-vintage eau-de-vie from the Grande Champagne growth area is said to combine freshness with maturity. It has an aroma of pear and white peach mixed with gingerbread and sweet spices. On the palate it hints of blackcurrant, almond and walnut, topped with the sweetness of vanilla and spiciness of cinnamon.

Selected by Martell’s Cellar Master Benoit Fil, from the house’s oldest cellar built in 1833, the Chais de la Coquille, the Millésime 1968 is a rare single eau-de-vie from the Grande Champagne growth area. It is then aged for over 40 years in old, fine-grain oak barrels to create a rich profile.
